In 2026, the DC Universe was thrown on its head when its new Batman came to town. The advent of the Absolute Universe sparked the debut of , and to say the character's launch went well would put things lightly. From sold-out trades to mainstream memes, . And following the hero's move to the screen, the hero's creator is geeking out in a big way.
Earlier today, fans got a peek at Absolute Batman's next big project with help from the team at LEGO. It turns out Absolute Batman and Catwoman are joining the upcoming Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight video game. To share the news, the character's creator Scott Snyder starred in a promo revealing the addition of Absolute Batman, and the best-selling writer was left stunned.
"How did you guys get it in there so fast? That is so beautiful. He's got the spikes, he looks so tough. Look at his face!"
Continuing, Snyder went on to praise the LEGO team for its uncanny adaptation of Absolute Batman. "I cannot believe that. It looks so good... You guys are magicians. I am seriously in awe."
Absolute Batman Is One Of DC's Greatest Successes In Years
With , fans are bracing for the hero's next big era. After all, this version of Batman is still relatively unknown outside the DC fandom, but that will change once LEGO's new game drops. This take on Bruce Wayne is so beloved for a reason, and following Absolute Batman's record-breaking sales in 2026, it was only a matter of time before Snyder's work hit the big time. It isn't often a comic launch with major hype backing it, but high praise from fans has led Absolute Batman to sell more than three million copies to date. Talk about a big deal, right?
As for Snyder, the writer is understandably thrilled by Absolute Batman's latest push. It isn't every day a creator gets to see their work join the LEGO Universe, believe it or not.
"The great thing about Batman is that, when you enter it, it's not just a character. It's an entire universe and his own mythology," Snyder shared with fans. "All his fears are represented as characters and [this] truly feels like a celebration."
