Final Fantasy 10 Officially Returns This July With New 25th Anniversary Release

It's hard to believe that is officially turning 25 years old this year, but Square Enix is kicking things off in a big way, launching a dedicated FFX 25th Anniversary website with several exciting upcoming releases planned throughout the remainder of 2026.

Final Fantasy 10 (and to a lesser extent FFX-2) has been a fan-favorite entry in the franchise since its launch back in 2001, and , is among the top candidates for a modern remake overhaul akin to the ongoing Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy. Despite there being no official announcement on a surprise 25th-anniversary remake/remaster for FFX, fans will no doubt keep their fingers crossed for the rest of the year.

However, there is one official Final Fantasy 10 release that will be available later this year from Square Enix, set to arrive on Wednesday, July 1 (via ).

Final Fantasy 10 is getting an official new release this July with the launch of the on vinyl, available to pre-order now for roughly $60 USD (¥9,350) at the official online storefront. The vinyl soundtrack features "20 carefully selected tracks from the original game's background music on two LPs," as well as "commemorative artwork drawn by Tetsuya Nomura," the legendary character designer who worked on several Final Fantasy entries and Kingdom Hearts.

The album release includes a download code for MP3 versions of the soundtrack, while the vinyl itself is beautifully crafted on a translucent blue "waterside" record. The full track list can be found here:

Square Enix appears to be gearing up for something big when it comes to Final Fantasy 10's 25-year birthday this year, launching an official website for the occasion featuring several new upcoming releases for collectors. These include an entire line of plush toys of iconic characters such as Tidus, Jecht, Yuna, etc.
