The final trailer for was released last week at CinemaCon. The film, which is Star Wars’ first theatrically released title since 2019's The Rise of Skywalker, features another adventure of Din Djarin and his adopted child. As the first movie in the franchise in so long, a lot is riding on the new Jon Favreau-directed film.
With expectation also comes challenges for The Mandalorian and Grogu. It’s a film that has to check a lot of boxes, all while delivering a story that appeals to both hardcore Star Wars fans and general movie-going audiences. The Star Wars franchise is in need of a win right now. Lucasfilm and Disney have struggled to get a film out into theaters for years now, and in the meantime they’ve focused primarily on television series, some of which have been lauded upon release.

The Mandalorian and Grogu is a film that is expected to be a lot of different things all at once, and the trailer shows that Jon Favreau and co. might actually be on the verge of pulling that off when it releases in theaters next month.
