Netflix just premiered one of their latest originals, as landed on the platform on May 1, and the animated fantasy installment has already emerged as a streaming success. The film, which was directed by Nathan Greno, is trending at #1 in Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Jamaica, Kenya, and Martinique. However, its success doesn't stop there, as it is holding top spots in several other countries too.

However, Hermanns also added that Swapped's creative team "never quite find a way to make effective use of their core concept," stressing that the opening minutes of the film "are so bizarrely devoid of dialogue and heavy on exposition that they feel uncomfortably similar to the AI-generated videos plastered all over social media."
Swapped is now streaming on Netflix.
