A is making its way to theaters this month, and audiences are now being dared to up the fear factor. ScreenRant is pleased to exclusively reveal two new posters for , hyping its April 17 theatrical release in two unique formats: 4DX and ScreenX. Tickets are on sale now!

In a complete reimagining of , this new film follows what happens to a family when their daughter Katie, who disappeared without a trace eight years prior, is found alive – buried in an ancient sarcophagus. She is reunited with her parents, siblings, and grandmother, but something is clearly very wrong with her, and unraveling the mystery of what happened to her becomes a matter of life and death. That specter is highlighted in both of these new posters, which stylishly capture the evil that Katie carries with her.

In the 4DX poster, a frightening close-up of Katie in profile screaming is placed against a background of mysterious script, which in appears on the inside of the sarcophagus she's discovered in. It doesn't look like Egyptian hieroglyphics, but whatever it is, it's bad news. The ScreenX poster takes an entirely different approach, presenting Katie in silhouette against a pyramid, with rays emitting from an open doorway that seem to slice through the whole poster itself. Both capture an ominousness that speaks to how this horror film would play in these two premium formats.

Experience Lee Cronin's The Mummy In 4DX & ScreenX

Honestly, The Mummy looks pretty scary, but one of the comforting things about seeing a horror movie is that there's distance between you and the screen. Anyone looking to up the fear factor will want to watch this movie in one of these two immersive theater setups when it releases on April 17, which both chip away at that sense of security.

Instead of projecting the film on a single screen, ScreenX theaters show it on three, stacked together horizontally to form a single panoramic view. The frame extends along the sides of the theater, surrounding audiences with a 270-degree display. Averting your eyes at a particularly scary scene has never been harder.

4DX, meanwhile, takes a more involved approach to immersing you in the movie you're watching. These theaters are set up with practical effects that you actually feel while the movie plays, including everything from moving and rumbling seats to water sprays and even scents. The application of this cinema technology to something like a jump scare is obvious, but can you imagine what Katie's sarcophagus must smell like? See The Mummy in this format and you may not have to...
