A photo from the set of movie has just been revealed.

After the three-season TV show ended in 2026, Prime Video is turning its attention to a movie that continues franchise, and a photo has now been released on Instagram showing Lola Tung (who plays Belly Conklin) and Christopher Briney (Conrad Fisher) posing for the camera with peace hand gestures.

The post's caption asked, "Did you miss them?" and added that the movie is "now in production." Hundreds of thousands of social media users have already liked the Instagram post. Check out the photo below:

The Summer I Turned Pretty, It's Not Summer Without You, and We’ll Always Have Summer—which was released from 2009 to 2011. Han also wrote the To All The Boys I've Loved Before series, which was turned into a successful Netflix movie trilogy and the spinoff XO, Kitty.

Just over a decade later, Prime Video debuted a TV adaptation of the YA romance novels, with Jenny Han serving as creator, co-showrunner (with Gabrielle Stanton and Sarah Kucserka), and executive producer. The series centers on a teenager named Belly who experiences a transformational summer at Cousins Beach involving friendships, relationships, love triangles, and the drama between her family and the Fishers.

Along with Tung and Briney, , Sean Kaufman, Rachel Blanchard, Gavin Casalegno, Colin Ferguson, and Tom Everett Scott. Throughout its three-season run, the series has garnered mostly positive reviews, with an average Rotten Tomatoes score of 79%, and won Bingeworthy Show of the Year at the People's Choice Awards in 2026.

Timed to the release of , which ended with Belly telling Conrad she loves him, Prime Video announced that the story would continue with a feature-length film directed by Han, who also co-wrote the script with Kucserka. Production recently got underway on the movie, but it wasn't without some hiccups along the way.

In early May, the Summer I Turned Pretty's social media accounts revealed that viewers have been causing disruptions on set and sharing filming locations online, which had caused safety concerns for everyone involved with the production. They told them to give some privacy as they worked hard to deliver a high-quality movie that lives up to the high expectations set by the TV show.

With filming still underway, Prime Video has not announced a release date for The Summer I Turned Pretty film, but this latest production update has gotten fans excited on social media for whenever it arrives on the streaming platform.
