Quinn Will Likely Be An Important Figure In Vought Rising
The end of The Boys season 5, episode 4 sees Soldier Boy confront Quinn, letting out his own anger and killing him with his nuclear blast powers. This allowed the Boys to be free of his influence, while the antagonist knelt to the ground, apologizing to Quinn's corpse. Instead, it seems like the upcoming will fill in the gaps. On the surface, you project confidence and power — the kind that makes people either worship you or cower. But underneath? There’s a void that no amount of adoration can fill. You demand loyalty but struggle to give it. You’re at your most dangerous when you feel cornered, and at your most human when you realize that all the power in the world can’t make someone genuinely love you. You’re not the hero — you’re the cautionary tale. Narcissistic Terrifying Charismatic Unstable 🔨 Billy Butcher “I’m gonna f***in’ kill you all.” You’re a wrecking ball with a grudge, and God help anyone standing between you and your target. Your rage is legendary — but so is the pain that fuels it. You’d burn the world down for the people you love, and that’s both your greatest strength and your fatal flaw. You don’t play by the rules because the rules were written by the people you’re fighting against. Underneath all that bravado is someone who’s terrified of losing anyone else. Ruthless Driven Self-Destructive Loyal ✨ Starlight “I’m done being controlled.” You walked into a corrupt system believing you could change it from the inside — and against all odds, you might be right. You’re terrified most of the time, but you show up anyway. That’s not weakness — that’s the definition of bravery. You fumble, you doubt, but you never quit. Anxious Resourceful Moral Brave 🌸 Kimiko “You are my heart.” You’ve been through horrors that would destroy most people, and yet here you are — still fighting, still caring, still protecting the ones you love. Although unconfirmed, it would make sense for Quinn to be an important part of Vought Rising. His past with Solider Boy is currently unclear, but killing him clearly impacted the antagonist in a way nothing else in the show has thus far. They share a core past connection, one that only makes sense to explore in the prequel series because of its current mysteriousness.
Vought Rising is the perfect way to do this because, as of writing, there are only four episodes of The Boys left. The show's core focus on finding V-One and taking down Homelander for good, which leaves little room to explore Solider Boy's past. Instead, Quinn's return in the prequel series would be the perfect way to expand upon what season 5 has established.
Quinn Has One Of The Most Unique Powers In The Boys
Quinn's power is one the most unique to ever appear in The Boys. While other Supes have very direct powers that they can use on a whim, Quinn's appear to be a side effect of his own anger at Solider Boy, and at the state he wound up in after the experiments. His roots causing others to become hostile almost makes him a horror monster in contrast to other Supes.

But there's also a layer of tragedy to his story, since his pride resulted in him getting trapped for decades in Fort Harmony, unconsciously killing anyone who got close. It makes him extremely dangerous, and makes his powers some of the most cryptic in the whole show. Vought Rising could showcase these powers in greater detail if Quinn gets a brighter spotlight shone on him.

With The Boys having established an important connection between Quinn and Soldier Boy, Vought Rising seems like the logical next step for the series to explore both characters' relationship with one another. Since Quinn is still shrouded in so much mystery, this may be how the prequel series spins off succinctly from the end of The Boys.
