Since it was first launched way back in 1998, has cemented itself as a classic, with the first game to feature 3D graphics, often regarded as one of the best video games of all time. Developed and published by for the Nintendo 64, Ocarina of Time follows Link as he journeys across the land of Hyrule to stop the evil king Ganondorf. Due to its popularity, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time received a remastered version, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, in 2011 for the Nintendo 3DS, but despite this, it is yet to welcome a modern-day remake. That is not because of lack of fans trying though.

With more recent The Legend of Zelda titles such as Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom showcasing just what is possible with modern-day technology and graphics, we can only imagine what a fully-fledged remake of Ocarina of Time will look like. However, with the 1998 title being the source of nostalgia, anybody who attempted the project would have to bring the game to modern times, whilst also keeping the magic and atmosphere of the original. That being said, some fans have decided on where Nintendo should take its inspiration from for a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake.

Shared by user Genki over on Twitter, they , "I wouldn’t mind a Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake that looked like the E3 2011 Zelda Wii U tech demo!" alongside a clip of the demo in question. As mentioned, this demo was released back in 2011 as a short cinematic for the Wii U. We see a fairy flying around Link as he crosses through a gate and straight into the path of a monster resembling Armogohma. As the battle between the pair ensues, a tutorial for the Wii U controls is shared, but it seems as though this brief demo has stayed with fans ever since, with many now wanting a potential Ocarina of Time remake to capture the same magic and graphical style.

The Wii U Zelda Tech Demo Is The Stuff Of Legend

Whilst fans originally believed that the tech demo was teasing a brand-new Zelda entry, this was later debunked as Nintendo revealed it was just created in order to show off the Wii U's capabilities. Although Nintendo did end up working on another entry, this turned out to be The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which looked vastly different to the Wii U tech demo upon launch. As such, this famous tech demo remains a short but memorable part of Zelda's history, so it is perhaps no surprise that fans want to see it revisited in some capacity in the future.

The Ocarina of Time remake should look like Ocarina of Time." Another agreed with the original poster, adding, "This tech demo was way ahead of the Wii U capabilities at the time. Something like this could easily . Maybe this vision can finally come to life." "Still waiting for a Zelda game to look this good," another fan said simply.
