Battlestar Galactica will soon be available to stream once again, with the announcement that the fan-favorite science fiction franchise will land on Paramount+ and Pluto TV beginning on May 1. The announcement, which comes after a deal with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution, marks the first time that Battlestar Galactica will be on streaming after brief stints on Peacock and Prime Video.

With that includes Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer, and Grace Park, the four-season saga unfurls how the sole survivors are forced to flee the Twelve Colonies of Mankind in their outdated warship known as Galactica.

The story chronicles how, as they are pursued by the ruthless Cylons, some of whom have now taken human form, Commander Adama (played by Olmos) and Lieutenant Starbuck (Sackhoff) lead the last remnants of humanity in search of the fabled thirteenth colony on Earth. Ending , viewers will also get to examine other corners of the franchise.

In addition to Pluto TV's dedicated Battlestar Galactica channel, which will be free and always on, fans will get to watch the miniseries that aired in 2003 and helped to launch the reimagining. Battlestar Galactica: The Plan will likewise be available, allowing access to the follow-up film that first debuted in 2009. These will all be available on both Paramount+ and Pluto TV.

As for , which aired for one season, that will be available solely on Paramount+. The spinoff is set 50 years before the events of BSG and focuses on two rival families and how they are impacted after a tragedy. It featured a cast that included Eric Stoltz, Esai Morales, Paula Malcomson, Alessandra Torresani, Magda Apanowicz, Sasha Roiz, Brian Markinson, and Polly Walker, running for 19 episodes.

Although there were reports about a revival of Battlestar Galactica from Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, Peacock backed out of the project, and there have been no concrete updates beyond that. Still, with so much of the franchise available to stream soon, devoted fans and curious new viewers are in for a treat.
