Netflix has released the trailer for season 2, which returns this month after a two-year hiatus.
Ahead of its May 27 premiere on , the Good Girl's Guide to Murder season 2 trailer has been released. Pip Fitz-Amobi discovers that Jamie Reynolds, a witness in Max Hastings' upcoming trial, has disappeared, and she goes into investigation mode to figure out the truth before it's too late. Check out the trailer for below:
The trailer begins with a voiceover of Pip saying that Little Kilton is trying to move on and "close this dark chapter" after the trauma that unfolded during the Andie Bell case. Pip herself is trying to move on as well and hopes for "no more murder." But because this is a murder-mystery show, that wish will not come true anytime soon.
Connor Reynolds tells Pip that his brother, Jamie Reynolds, has gone missing, which sets the protagonist off on her latest mission as she launches the second season of her podcast, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. What makes Jamie's disappearance unique is that he had planned to testify at Max's trial just two days later. "All this has to be connected somehow," Pip says, before handing out "Missing" posters, so the town's residents can be on the lookout for Jamie.
It appears that Pip is getting closer to discovering the truth because she receives a warning that says, "Who will look for you when you're the one who disappears?" The further down the rabbit hole she goes, the more connections she thinks she's finding, but she's told that "not everything is a conspiracy."
As the trailer continues, the investigation starts to take a toll on Pip's emotional well-being, and she realizes she's hurting the people she cares about again. Cara Ward even confronts Pip, saying, "Who else are you gonna sacrifice along the way?" As Pip starts distancing herself from others, she gets a wake-up call that she shouldn't be pushing people away and that everyone around her is here to help.
Pip then dives back into the investigation and says that if a body isn't found in the first 72 hours, the police will stop looking for Jamie. Pip is in too deep at this point and reveals that she's starting to come across answers she "didn't want to find." The trailer ends with Pip admitting she's running out of time and yelling out, "Help me!"
