Not even one week into April, and Netflix audiences already have something to binge.

is a romantic comedy by Jenny Han, the creator of To All The Boys I've Loved Before. The show is about a teen matchmaker named Kitty Song Covey, who thinks she has love and romance all figured out, but she soon realizes there's more to relationships than she realizes. She moves halfway across the world to be with her long-distance boyfriend, and she learns some valuable lessons about love along the way.

Season 3 dropped on April 2, and it's already reached the number one spot on Netflix. According to FlixPatrol, it beat out One Piece, the new Norwegian show Detective Hole, and the horror series Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen. Globally, the returning series has reached No. 1 in many countries, including Brazil, France, Germany, and the United States.

The series stars Anna Cathcart as Kitty, Sang Heon Lee as Min-ho Moon, and Gia Kim as Yuri Han. Cathcart is recognizable from , where she originally appeared as Kitty. She's the fierce little sister of Lara Jean Covey, played by Lana Condor, who is the main character of the movie trilogy.

Since XO, Kitty is a spin-off of the movies, the show provides a unique opportunity to continue some of the storylines from the films, including new information regarding the romance between Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky, played by Noah Centineo. The couple has made a guest appearance in the new season, in which a new update was revealed.

Meanwhile, season 3 continued the romantic storyline between Kitty and Min-ho, but it appears the development of the new episodes has left audiences rather mixed. As of writing, the third installment currently has a 45% audience score, which is a record low for the entire franchise. Nevertheless, the series is still gaining interest, which would determine whether Netflix plans a season 4 renewal.

When this article was published, the Netflix series had a solid 78% score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 58% Popcornmeter. In Rachel Labonte said, "XO, Kitty is still, at times, cheesy and over-the-top, as all the best teen shows are. Yet it also wears its heart on its sleeve and has an infectious energy that sucks you in."

XO, Kitty season 3 is now playing on Netflix.
