Potts' absence from Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 2 is due to Fox's Best Medicine, where she plays a regular cast member, Aunt Joan. Because the freshman comedy was filming on the East Coast and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage was shot in California, the Chuck Lorre series needed to be more strategic with how they were going to make sure that Meemaw remained relevant until they found a way to work with her schedule. Luckily, they were able to find a way to feature her, although a little late in the .
As great as it is always to see Meemaw reunite with the family, it's a little disheartening to find out that she hasn't outgrown her penchant for being a hustler. For context, one of her last major arcs in Young Sheldon involved her running an illegal gambling den at the back of her laundromat, which was where Georgie and Mandy first crossed paths. Unfortunately, she ran out of luck, resulting in the establishment getting shut down. She tried other illegal ways to earn money, which even put her and Dale's relationship at risk.

Considering what was established in The Big Bang Theory, it's safe to say that Meemaw's latest business venture won't last long. Hopefully, however, she finally learns her lesson in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage before she finds herself in more serious trouble.
