Fox's gritty four-season crime drama, canceled last year, has taken streaming charts by storm.

The Cleaning Lady, based on the Argentinian TV show La Chica que Limpia, debuted on Fox on January 3, 2026. The series follows Thony De La Rosa (Élodie Yung), a former surgeon living illegally in Las Vegas who moonlights as a cleaner and doctor for a criminal syndicate in order to pay for her son's bone marrow treatment.

Miranda Kwok penned the premiere episode and served as showrunner, along with Melissa Carter, Jeannine Renshaw, and Daniel Cerone. was one of the strongest of the show's run, but ultimately it was not enough to save it from what many believed was a premature cancellation in June 2026.

However, the show is enjoying something of a resurgence on streaming. According to FlixPatrol, The Cleaning Lady is currently ranked at #4 on the Netflix global streaming charts, with all four seasons available to stream on the platform. It has also performed well in the UK, consistently ranking in the top 10 throughout this week.

The Cleaning Lady is the type of show that tends to perform well on streaming, with morally ambiguous characters, breathless thrills, a wealth of dramatic tension, and a compelling central performance from Yung, who brings stoicism, heart, and grit to the central protagonist. Whether the series will continue to perform well on Netflix remains to be seen, but the show is clearly striking a chord with streamers.

Sharing thematic shades with powerhouse has helped The Cleaning Lady gain a strong following on streaming, and could ensure that it enjoys some long-term success. While there is an argument to be made that the show never quite fulfilled its premise in the most satisfying way possible, it is still a fun and thrilling watch.
