While work on is likely in its final stretch, Amazon Prime Video has yet to make any announcements on when people can expect it to debut on their platform. Seasons 1 and 3 were released in February — 2026 and 2026, respectively. Most interestingly, however, Reacher season 2 premiered in December 2026 and that might be the case again for its upcoming installment.

Saving Reacher season 4 for a December 2026 release would perfectly work with this plan. Beyond that, however, doing a holiday release for the mothership can do wonders for its own viewership. Reacher is already an established brand at this point, so Prime Video has the luxury to release it anytime, and as long as it's good, it will likely have good ratings. That said, strategically rolling it out at a time when most people are on holiday can significantly increase the number of people tuning in. This sets up Reacher season 4 to be the biggest season of the series thus far.

Between that and the extensive post-production work it needs to capture the magic of the Wizarding World, sure looks impressive.

Admittedly, the jury is still out whether remaking the beloved film series is the right call. That being said, it will likely draw major audience when it finally premieres at the end of the year regardless. People would be at least enticed to check it out, especially given the buzz that it generated with its first trailer. This will potentially give Reacher season 4 a run for its money — assuming that Prime Video does put it in the coveted holiday slot. As an established franchise with fans from multiple generations, HBO's Harry Potter remake has the chance to be the last-minute show of the year.
