It's not quite two weeks into the month, but some subscribers are already getting a nice bonus outside the current batch of . The bonus comes in the form of two new free games; however, this offer isn't available to all PS Plus members, so you may be left in the dark.

All of this is ahead of a rumored State of Play happening this week, so if you're looking to celebrate, PlayStation Plus has you covered. These additional freebies join the current slate of Essential games: Lords of the Fallen, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, and Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered. And as reported by , both bonus games are worth checking out.

As part of PlayStation Plus' Free Game Trials program, Premium tier members will be able to check out Forgive Me Father 2 and Deathless: The Hero Quest. Both games were released in the back half of 2026, but they weren't a part of Free Game Trials until April 9, 2026. There's also a PS4 game from 2019 up for grabs, called Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark, but it's playable on PS5 as well.

The save data from the free trial carries over if you decide to buy the full game, so you don't have to be worried about wasting your time. Of course, not everyone can access these freebies. It's purely for PS Plus Premium members only. And despite a sleepy start to 2026 for PlayStation Plus Premium, it looks like things are finally starting to pick up.

There's always going to be a debate over whether PlayStation Plus Premimum is worth the extra cost. While having access to Free Game Trials through PS Plus is a nice bonus, it really just depends on what kinds of games you're into. In terms of 2026, the year has been a bit on all tiers, but the Premium catalog offers up a ton of classic PlayStation games, which can be worth the price if you're in a nostalgic mood.

Or, you may just want to subscribe to Premium for a month or two to scratch that itch for nostalgia before dropping to one of the lower tiers. Regardless of what you prefer, it's been a decent year for PlayStation Plus in 2026, and it'll hopefully keep getting better as the year progresses.
