As by TwistedVoxel, Dealabs insider billbil_kun shared a over on Twitter/X revealing 58 titles that will be included as part of the new Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition when it launches. The list is largely similar to the Essentials list that players currently have, though with a couple of key differences.
Games like Doom 64 and Psychonauts (PC version) are available in the Starter selection, though not as part of Essentials, while is in the Essentials range, but won't be available to Starter subscribers. Crucially, it appears at this stage as though Starter also doesn't grant access to multiplayer gaming, so free-to-play titles won't be tagged under Starter either.
At the same time, also reported on the progress Discord dataminers have been making, and it appears as though this new strand of Game Pass will be available at no extra cost to those who are already subscribed to Nitro. Given how many people are signed up to the latter to stay in touch with other gamers anyway, have an additional 60 games to play for free is a genuine boon.
Though we can't count the proverbial chickens just yet, these first few steps in this bold new era for Xbox have been genuinely encouraging. Prices had been spiralling out of control, and it was difficult to see what the company's identity really was in this fast-moving new era.

Now, the company has every chance of pushing into Project Helix with a real idea of what it wants to be, and though it likely won't be able to match the raw sales of the PlayStation and Nintendo's of this world, there's no reason Xbox can't carve out a sizeable portion of the overall market for itself, particularly with the increased PC integration.
